[AMAIC. The following needs to be read, however, with Tobit 4:12 in mind: "Above all, marry a woman of our tribe, because we are descendants of the prophets. Do not marry anyone who is not related to us. Remember that Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, our earliest ancestors, all married relatives. God blessed them with children, and so their descendants will inherit the land of Israel].
" I will put enmity between thy seed and the seed of the woman" Gen 3:15
The tenth chapter of Genesis is the Oldest table of nations in existence. It is completely authentic statement of how the present world population originated and spread after the Flood in three families headed by Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Why among all the four children of Ham, Canan the fourth one should be cursed? What is the reason? It is because exactly what happened in Eden was repeated after the Flood? Like Cain was not the son of Adam, Canan was not born to Ham's real wife but to Noah's wife after they were drunk in the vineyard which Noah planted. The story is this. Noah's first wife who was the mother of Shem, Ham and Japheth died before the Flood. The woman or the wife of Noah who was in the ark during the Flood and after that was Naamah, his second wife. Naamah belonged to the cursed race of Cain. "The sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah" Gen4: 22. Incidentally the Bible mentions the names of only four women before the Flood. They were

mingling of the serpent's seed with the human race. Why these four women names
should be mentioned? The Bible doesn't mention anything without a valid
I have with me a copy of the 'Book of Jasher' which has been referred to in Joshua and in second Samuel. I don't know how far the book I have is authentic but the 'Book of Jasher' is certainly a book to be noted since the word of God mentions it. The 'Book of Jasher' is a public record (public register) in those days to note down important events and notable incidents that happened in the history of mankind. This has 91 chapters and is said to be faithfully translated in 1840 from the original Hebrew to English. This has been updated in February 21, 2000 and published by J.H.Parry & Co; salt Lake City.
Now the Bible says, "This is the book of the generations of Adam, in the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him" Gen5: 1 Then, it goes on to describe the descendants of SETH, the son of Adam, who was born after Abel was murdered by Cain.
ADAM® SETH® ENOS® CAINAN® Mahalaleel…. Now, in the Book of Jasher, in the second chapter, a little more explanation is given of that Adamic race. It may help us all the way to understand the mingling of pure Adamic race and Cain's serpent race before the Flood which made to destroy all except Noah's family through the flood. Now, it is only a Bible research study and if you don't wont to believe doesn't matter but think for a moment before dropping this littlework which may help you to understand many things later on which happened and mentioned in the scriptures.
I am quoting from the second chapter of the book of Jasher. " And Enos lived Ninety years and he begat Cainan; And Cainan grew up and he was forty years old, and he became wise and he had knowledge and skill in all wisdom….for Cainan was a very wise man and had understanding in all wisdom, and with his wisdom he ruled over spirits and demons; And Cainan knew by his wisdom that God would destroy men for having sinned upon earth, and that the Lord would bring the waters of the flood. … And when Cainan was seventy years old he begat three sons and daughters" Gen 5: 13) And these are the names of the children of Cainan; the name of the first born Mahalaleel, the second Enan, and the third Mered, and their sisters were Adah and Zillah; these are the five children of Cainan that were born to him.
And Lamech, (Cain's race, refer Gen 4:18-24) the son of Methusael, became related to Cainan by marriage, and he took his two daughters for his wives, and Adah conceived and bare a son to Lamech, and she called his name Jabal. And she again conceived and bare a son and called his name Jubal; and Zillah her sister was barren in those days and had no offspring. …. And in the end of days and years, when Zillah became old, the Lord opened her womb. And she conceived and bare a son and she called his name Tubal Cain…. And she conceived again and bare a daughter and she called her name Naamah" (Book of Jasher 2nd chapter versus 10 to 25). Thus there was the mingling of the pure Adamic race with Cain's race even before Enoch's time.
CAINAN + LAMECH(Cain's race) ®
JABAL, JUBAL, TUBAL CAIN and NAAMAH(daughter of Zillah)
CAINAN -> ADAH, ZILLAH(pure Adamic race)
This Naamah was in the ark. Therefore, the serpent's seed was in the ark being the second wife of Noah. That is how the giants came after the flood.
Now, Noah and his wife, Naamah, became drunk, after sometime after the flood. By that time Ham had three children 'Cush, Mizram and Phut'. How long after the flood we cannot say but it was certainly within a short period. That time Cannan was not born to HAM. When Noah and his wife Naamah were drunk, Ham saw the nakedness of his father's beautiful wife. (LEV 18:8) To uncover the nakedness of father's wife is uncovering the nakedness of father according to Lev 18:8 and I think the story of Eden was repeated. Once Noah was awake, he understood what Ham had done, and cursed the conception that was Canan. As God cursed the conception of Eve because Satan's seed was injected, similarly Satan's seed was injected in Canan.
So not all of Ham's descendants were involved in the curse, only Canan and his descendants.
HAM + NAAMAH ® CANAN
(Noah's son pure (Cain's race) (serpent's seed propagation)
Noah did not after become the father of any child after the flood. Naamah was not the mother of Shem, Ham and Japheth. She was the mother of 'Canan' only and that was the reason for cursing Canan and the Cananites.
Ham's curse fell upon Canan. Noah could not abort his wife's birth for he knew "if slaying Cain brought a sevenfold vengence, truly slaying Canan might bring seventy times sevenfold punishment" (Gen 4: 22-24) So Noah could only curse Canan.
That was the reason for God to instruct Moses and the children of Israel to destroy all the Cananites. We begin to understand why Cain and his children, including Canan and his descendants, were doubly cursed in conception and in their lineage. "Twice dead, plucked up by the roots"(Jude 11-12) God separated Shem as his portion, to be the holy nation interceding for the gentiles of Japheth and Ham. God always separates the sacred from the profane.
Canan was cursed and scattered, and the land he had occupied and cultivated was covenanted by God to Israel. (Gen12: 1-7) In the natural Cananites were God's enemies. In the spiritual, Cananites means the 'old man'. God destroys the works of the Devil.
"There were giants in the earth in those days before the flood (the children of Cain); and also after the flood (the children of Canan)" Our English Bibles render "Nephilim" as "giants". The word comes from Hebrew "Naphal" which means, "to fall" hence "the fallen ones " the descendants of Cain. Afterwards the term is transferred to their offspring. The only other passage the word "Nephilim" occurs is Numbers 13: 32-33.
Canan receives his first biblical definition in the Table of nations as the father of Sidon and Heth, of the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgasites, Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, Arvadites, Zemarites, and the Hamathites. The five names following Sidon were the inhabitants of the promised Land (Exod 13:5)
